Season Closer

Last Friday, October 13th, the team traveled up to Furman University for a makeup game originally scheduled at the beginning of the season. Due to a no-show by the referees, Furman had to forfeit by default, giving the Gamecocks an automatic win.

However, the girls came out hard as always, coming away with a 2-0 win in our friendly match. Sara Puglisi scored in the first half giving the Gamecocks a 1-0 lead going into halftime.

In the second half, Stefi Salas hit a rocket of a shot, assisted by Nicole McGlinchy, giving USC their second goal of the game.

For now, the Gamecocks official Fall season has come to an end. As we continue to practice and hopefully schedule some friendly's, the girls will focus and prepare for the spring season.
